Janice McGuire, M.Ed., earned her Masters in Education from Southern New Hampshire University and, through additional training, was also granted an advanced degree in Special Education Administration. Janice is a specialist in applying multisensory strategies to a variety of content areas and study skills. She is a Certified Special Educator (birth through grade 12) with extensive experience with executive function skills, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia. Her life has been dedicated to helping students who learn differently because all great minds do not think alike. Multisensory teaching methods are instructional strategies that are appropriate for all learners but essential for some. Janice is a Certified Dyslexia Specialist with Wilson Language Certification and one hundred hours of graduate level training in Orton Gillingham Multisensory Language Instruction.
Additionally, she has been trained by Marilyn Zecher in the Multisensory Math Approach working with beginning math learners through high school complexity. Janice enjoys swimming, walking, reading, and researching in her spare time as well as spending time with her husband, grown children, their spouses, and her three grandchildren. The ocean and her home are her places of solitude.
