What’s Included?
This resource includes the following five word work activities for practicing short a.
- Picture Match: Students must match each short a word to its corresponding picture
- Spelling Practice: Students will write letters (or place letter tiles) in each box to spell the CVC words.
- Concentration (Memory Match) Game: Students will flip two cards at a time in hopes of getting a picture and word that match.
- KABOOM! (Version 1) Students will pull a word from a cup and read it aloud. If they pull a KABOOM, they must put all of their words back in the cup!
- KABOOM! (Version 2) A set of KABOOM cards are included to add as another fun variation to the Concentration, matching game.
