Structured Literacy Blends Practice included is for direct and explicit practice of words with r-blends, s-blends, l-blends, and triple (3-letter) blends.
What’s Included?
This resource includes the following five word work activities for practicing consonant blends.
- Picture Match
Students must match each word to its corresponding picture
- Spelling Practice
Students will write letters (or place letter tiles) in each box to spell the words.
3. Concentration (Memory Match) Game
Students will flip two cards at a time in hopes of getting a picture and word that match.
4. KABOOM! (Version 1)
Students will pull a word from a cup and read it aloud. If they pull a KABOOM, they must put all of their words back in the cup!
5. KABOOM! (Version 2)
A set of KABOOM cards are included to add as another fun variation to the Concentration, matching game.
